Skin & hand
The hand-rests of an elevator are often heavily contaminated with fungi, bacteria and viruses.
The contamination is often higher than in a public restroom. Because the hand-rests are black, a contamination is invisible. The hand rests are cleaned on a regular basis, however, they are rarely disinfected.
In elevators, the buttons and handles are the most contaminated parts. They, too, are regularly cleaned but rarely thoroughly disinfected.
